- Purpose
This Fair Usage Policy (FUP) is designed to ensure the stability, security, and high performance of all shared hosting environments provided by Hostaday (OMA IT Solutions). Shared hosting relies on resource sharing; therefore, no single account is permitted to consume excessive resources that negatively impact other clients.
- Email Usage Policy (Strict Enforcement)
To protect our server IP reputation and prevent spam, the following hard limits apply:
- Hourly Sending Limit: Accounts are strictly limited to sending a maximum of 20 emails per hour per domain.
- Mailbox Quota: The maximum storage capacity per individual email inbox is 500 MB. Customers are free to manage this space as they see fit within their overall account limits.
- Prohibited Email Activities: The use of shared hosting for bulk mailing, newsletters, marketing campaigns, or automated spam scripts is strictly forbidden. Any account found violating this will be instantly suspended without notice.
- Disk Space and File Storage (Inodes)
Disk space is allocated exclusively for the files, code, and media directly required for the functional operation of the hosted website.
- No Archives or Backups: It is strictly prohibited to use the hosting space to store personal files, computer backups, or massive ZIP/TAR archives.
- No Media Streaming or File Sharing: Operating media streaming sites, file-sharing portals (e.g., rapidleech), or massive image/video galleries not directly tied to a standard website layout is forbidden.
- Inodes: Accounts exceeding reasonable file count limits (Inodes) that degrade disk performance will be required to upgrade to a VPS or face suspension.
- CPU, RAM, and Database Limits
- Process Limits: Customers may not run scripts or cron jobs that consume excessive CPU time or RAM, causing server loads to spike.
- Background Processes: Running background bots, cryptocurrency miners, or standalone server daemons (like IRC) is strictly prohibited on shared plans.
- Databases: MySQL databases must be optimized. Heavy queries that lock database tables or crash the MySQL service will result in the suspension of the offending script or account.
- Enforcement and Suspension
The Provider utilizes automated monitoring tools. If an account breaches this Fair Usage Policy, the Provider reserves the absolute right to throttle resources, temporarily suspend, or permanently terminate the account without prior notice and without a refund, to protect the server ecosystem.
